First Session of International University Students' Photography Exhibition
Confucius once said, “If you can one day renovate yourself, let there be daily renovation and do so from day to day.” –Yes, every coming day is totally new and renovation is the spirit of a nation and is also the goal commonly pursued by world contemporary photographers. In compliance with world advanced trends & social development and in order to encourage world photographers’ discovery and creation, to cultivate new photographic concept and talents, to embody new photographic themes and to promote new photographic developments, from September 25, 2006 to September 30, 2006, “2006 Contemporary International Photography Biyearly Exhibition” and “First Session of International University Students’ Photography Exhibition” is held in Jinan and “International Photography Exhibition of World Photographers’ Focus on Confucius” is held in Qufu as well.

VII. Participating Rules & Regulations for 2006 Contemporary International Photography Biyearly Exhibition---------------
1\ This Exhibition combines of invited participating photographers (Type A) and free participating photographers (Type B). 2\Invited participating photographers are recommended by the Academic Committee of the Exhibition and the formal personal invitations are issued by the Organizing Committee.3\Free participating photographers are free to register their participation and need to choose 10~20 representative and personally characteristic works and send or mail them to the Organizing Committee of the Exhibition.4\No limitations on the themes, contents and forms of participating works.5\ All participating works should be in the form of digital CDs or pictures (7'~10', No mounting). Title of each work and author’s information like name, nationality, postal address, postal code, telephone number and e-mail address etc. should all be noted. 6\ No participating fees for all participating works and all copies of participating works mailed to the Exhibition will not be returned. All participating works should be directly mailed or sent to the Organizing Committee, who will keep well of these works but will not be responsible for any postal or unexpected losses. 7\ Awards: ●One (1) “Image Without Frontier (ISF)” Award: ISF medal, certificate and prizes ●Ten (10) “Contemporary International Photographic Master”: medals, certificates and prizes ●Ten (10) “Contemporary Excellent Photographer”: medals, certificates and prizes ●Ten (10) “Contemporary New Prominent Photographer”: medals, certificates and prizes ●Ten (10) “Contemporary Best Documentary Photographic Works”: medals, certificates and prizes ●Ten (10) “Contemporary Best Renovation Photographic Works”: medals, certificates and prizes ●One Hundred (100) “Contemporary Internationally Excellent Photographic Works”: medals, certificates and prizes

VII. Participating Rules & Regulations for First Session of International University Students’ Photography Exhibition---------------
1\All enrolled students throughout the world can freely participate, whatever their nationalities, ages and genders are. 2\No limitation on the colors and numbers of the participating works. Digital and traditional works are all welcome. All participating works should be in form of 7' pictures or high pixel digital files (more than 4 mega pixels). 3\ All participators should carefully and clearly fill in the Exhibition Form (Freely download from the Website) according to relevant demands and send it in good shape to the Organizing Committee. 4\ The hosts are not responsible for the postal losses or damages. 2\All chosen and awarded works will be compiled and published in the Chinese-English picture album for “2006 Contemporary International Photography Biyearly Exhibition”
3\For all chosen and awarded works, the hosts have the non-commercial rights of use, such as exhibition, album, CDs, newspapers, magazines and publicizing materials etc. and will not pay extra fees to the authors or owners. The author will be responsible for all legal responsibilities such as the rights of reputation, portrait and copy etc. related to the works.
X. International Photography Exhibition of World Photographers’ Focus on Confucius---------------------------------
Photographers from the world will participate the International Confucius Cultural Festival & the Confucius Ceremony and Qufu Folklore Photographic Creation.
●One (1) “Image Without Frontier (ISF)” Award: medal, 10,000 CNY or prizes in equal value ●Two (2) “Golden Prize” Award: medal, Certificate and 3,000 CNY or prizes in equal value ●Four (4) “Silver Prize” Award: medal, Certificate and 2,000 CNY or prizes in equal value ●Eight (8) “Bronze Prize” Award: medal, Certificate and 1,000 CNY or prizes in equal value ●Twenty (20) “Excellent Prize” Award: medals, certificates and prizes ●Three Hundred (300) Chosen works: Certificate for chosen, souvenirs.
XI. Award Issues-----------------------------------
All award ceremony will be grandly held during the exhibitions and all winners will be invited to come to attend the awarding ceremony and closing ceremony of the Exhibition.
